![]() This is not a Grammy quality mix.Īlso, one of the tracks is about half as long as the other two, because the drummer got a phone call and had to run, but you should be able to get a good idea of the sound in 60 seconds or less. It was all said and done in less that 30 minutes, so please don't flame me for the tuning of the drums or the quality of the drumming. I run a mobile recording business, and this is gear I use on a regular basis (with the exception of the TubeOpto, which I just got a couple of weeks ago). Just a player playing solo to a click 3 different times, with me changing the inputs in between. It was not a hugely scientific experiment, just a quick comparison of a kit through 3 different mid-end ADCs. I just got my TubeOpto and did an A/B against an OctoPre and a Liquid Saffire 56. I noticed no latency when configured it this way. This drives the analog outputs for monitoring/tape deck, etc. Basically the mic/line inputs go to the RayDAT from the TubeOpto's ADAT out and the RME's out goes to the TubeOpto's ADAT in. This works fine for me, because I have an RME RayDAT. They are tied to the ADAT input on the TubeOpto. It's kind of weird the way they use the analog outs. If you want to use the analog outs you will need one that does inputs and outputs (i.e., RayDAT). ![]()
